We utilize Herd Sires and Dams from the most highly sought after Kiko Genetics for parasite resistance, confirmation, performance, weight gain, and color. Below are some of the Herd Sire's that have contributed to our breeding program as well as a few prime examples of the outstanding herd sires that we have produced that have moved on to other farms and are currently having positive impacts on the breed.
Terminator's XX
Our Senior Herd Sire HEMI is a son of Terminator's XX. The Terminator bloodline is the arguably the most parasite resistant, hardy Kiko bloodline. Our son's of HEMI have consistently placed in the top of the University of Maryland Goat Forage test for parasite resistance and resilience every time we have entered them. HEMI is roped one a year for inspection and never requires dewormer. He passes this on to his kids. |
WAYSU GOLIATH'S KEEPER
Keeper is arguably the best phenotypical example of what the Kiko breed should look like. What's even better is that most of his kids and grand-kids also have perfect confirmation. Our Keeper daughter Georgia has produced some of our best kids throughout the years. We are excited to have rare Keeper semen on hand. Keeper is possibly the best son of the import Goatex Goliath, some think he is the best buck the breed has seen. |
SKY WARSAW AKA "WARRIOR"
Our Herd Sire HKF SONNY BOY is a son of WARRIOR. Warrior is a solid black NZ Kiko Buck who placed 5th out of 53 bucks on the 2007 Oklahoma buck test. Of the 100% New Zealand bucks, he was first. During the course of this test, not only did he not have to be wormed, but his fecal egg count went down from 400 to 100 !! This parasite resistance, now university documented, is most impressive about Warrior. That coupled with his excellent growth rate, and solid black color make a combination that will be hard to beat. The solid black Kikos tend to be the toughest and hardiest of the breed. WARRIOR was the sire of the top parasite resistant buck in the 2008 Oklahoma buck test. His son also ended the test with an ending fecal egg count of 100!! The next closest buck had a count of 450. |
MRG OUTLAW
MRG OUTLAW (son of SONNY BOY) was the high selling buck at the first NKR ELITE BUCK SALE in Springfield, Mo in 2012. He was purchased by Kraig ans Suzanne Stemme in Alba, TX. One of MRG OUTLAW's sons was named both the Grand Champion Average Daily Gain as well as Grand Champion Fecal Egg Count in the 2013 Oklahoma Forage Buck Performance Test. Lake Fork Kikos Named the 2013 Top Herdsman Grand Champion at the Oklahoma Forage Buck Performance Test. Based on the performance of the three sons of MRG Outlaw in both average daily gain and parasite resistance, Lake Fork Kikos was awarded the 2013 Top Herdsman Grand Champion at the Oklahoma Forage Buck Performance Test. The three bucks had average daily gain of 0.39, 0.36, and 0.36 lb. per day. They also demonstrated superior parasite resistance with fecal egg counts of 180. 290. and 360 EPG based on five fecal egg count evaluations. Update: MRG Outlaw has sired progeny which have won the OK Buck test 3 years running 2013-2015. |
MRG GOODDADDY'S Tradition "GT"
MRG GT is another outstanding Herd Sire by HEMI and Georgia. Twin to MRG Diesel. GT is still the one goat I wish I hadn't sold most. He was the perfect specimen of a Kiko Herd Sire. He now resides in MD. Update: We were able to bring GT home and we're looking forward to his 2016 kid crop. |
